Fotofestiwal Łódź

June 18, 2026

The Polish city of Łódź is set to host the 25th edition of its annual Fotofestiwal, with an exciting programme presented from June 18 to 28, 2026.
From galleries to factories, from grand palaces to a disused swimming pool: this year’s Fotofestiwal Łódź presents twelve outstanding exhibitions, along with outdoor screenings and a range of discussion formats.

The opening event on June 18 is already a highlight not to be missed: Sir John Akomfrah’s multi-channel video installation Listening All Night To The Rain (originally created for the Venice Biennale) will be accompanied by a live audio-visual performance from genre-blending composer and vocalist Hania Rani.

Also on view in the Fuzja quarter: Helena Majewska’s exhibition Better ‘magua‘ than pain – tracing the transformation of the artist’s focus from documenting clubbing crowds to quiet landscape contemplations.

The Koncept Gallery is hosting the showcase Eclipse, featuring photographs by Adrian Chmielewski. Sponsored by PKO Bank Polski, the project offers a captivating perspective on alternative music culture.

On June 20, visitors are invited to the Night of Photography at Sienkiewicz Park. As part of this outdoor slideshow, Leica Fotografie International will also present a curated selection of images from the LFI Gallery – its global online platform for photographers worldwide.
