Huawei P10
On 26 February, the Chinese technology corporation introduced its two new flagship smartphone models, the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
A particular focal point of the presentation were the three built-in cameras developed in cooperation with Leica Camera. Like its P9 predecessor model, the new P10 once again features a Leica dual camera, comprising two cameras with Summarit-H 27mm f/2.2 lenses. The 12-megapixel RGB camera records predominantly colour data and creates images in JPG and DNG format, while the 20-megapixel monochrome camera captures exclusively black-and-white images in JPG format.
The dual rear camera of the slightly larger P10 Plus is equipped with faster lenses – the new Summilux-H 27mm f/1.8.
In addition, the P10 models now also feature a Leica-brand front camera, offering an aperture of f/1.9 along with new functions which highlight the companies’ focus on selfie photography. In this context, particular emphasis was placed on the new portrait mode, which now carries the name Artistic Portrait in Leica Image Style and has replaced the Beauty mode of previous models.
The P10 is available in the colours Graphite Black, Mystic Silver, Dazzling Blue and Prestige Gold, with an additional Greenery version of the P10 Plus.
