Within the historical Italian Palazzo, the 16th century meets the modern day in an interaction that is at times playful, at others deeply poignant. “When asked to show our work in this jewel of a palazzo, it was an immediate Yes,” the artist duo explains. “It’s the perfect setting, full of connection and contradiction - it’s simply thrilling.”
Alone Together offers intimate insights into the contrasting solo careers of two outstanding photographers as well as their 12-year collaboration. Spanning 40 years of work by one artist and just over 10 years by the other, the selected images illustrate both individual and combined developments. The result is a compelling tapestry of imagery and time, which seems as though it was created just for this particular venue.
New York Stories in Berlin
In addition to the show in Bolsena, the artist duo's series New York Stories will be presented at the Waldorf Astoria Gallery in Berlin in collaboration with Sleek Magazine. The series comprises portraits of New York icons such as Debby Harry, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol.
