The fourth edition of the Vonovia Award for Photography is dedicated to the theme of ‘Home’. Submissions are open until June 30, 2020.

The 2020 edition of the Vonovia Award invites visual explorations of how we orchestrate our surroundings – and to what extent these efforts are influenced by cultural and social norms. A total of 42,000 euros will be divided between four winners.

This year’s jury members include Peter Bialobrzeski (professor of photography, Bremen University of the Arts), Peter Bitzer (managing director, laif agency),
Peter Piller (professor at the Dusseldorf Art Academy), Daniel Riedl (board member at Vonovia), Linn Schröder (professor of photography at HAW Hamburg), and Dr. Reinhard Spieler – director of the Sprengel Museum Hanover and curator of the Vonovia Award exhibitions.

The winning works, as well as a selection of shortlisted entries, will be exhibited at Hanover’s Sprengel Museum, the Bochum Art Museum, and various photo festivals in due course.
