The fourth edition of the Kunstfest in der Lohnhalle art festival is set to take place at Essen’s historic Zeche Königin Elisabeth building from August 2nd to 4th, 2024.
This year’s Kunstfest in der Lohnhalle promises to be a weekend filled with creative inspiration and visual highlights. In addition to photo exhibitions by Georg Pieron, Christian Deutscher and Markus Malangeri, visitors will also find artworks by Ralf Koenemann, Titus Lerner and Jörg W. Schirmer (represented by the Klose Gallery). The event opens with an evening reception on Friday, 2 August from 6:30 p.m. – offering a perfect opportunity to experience the diversity of the contemporary works on display, and connect with the represented artists in a relaxed atmosphere.

As a particular highlight, all attendees have the chance to take part in a raffle for an exclusive painting by Titus Lerner. The lucky winner will be announced during the opening reception.

On Saturday, 3 August, the focus will be placed on live performances and interactive events. From 3 p.m. onwards, visitors will be able to witness Titus Lerner create a painting before their very eyes.

For photography enthusiasts, there will be a chance to try their hand at the new Leica Q3, as well as explore the Leica SL and M11 systems. The latest SL lenses will also be available for on-site testing for the duration of the festival.

Appointments for more in-depth camera system try-outs can be made free of charge via thomas.boehringer@leica-camera.com or info@pieron-photography.de
