Under the title of La Mer 母なる海 The Sea, Mother of Life, the Bunshun Gallery in Tokyo presents an exhibition of 23 photographs by Ikuo Nakamura, Kentaro Kumon, and Günter Zorn. The opening reception takes place on Monday, January 16th.
Curated by Naoko Ohta, the showcase amalgamates three perspectives of the sea – the ‘mother of life’. With their images, the represented artists seek to express their gratitude for the birthplace of life on our planet, whilst also conveying its fragility and need for protection.
The photographs, which are on display until Friday, January 20th, 2023, can be purchased as fine-art prints directly at the gallery.
