Barbara Lange, Amateur category winner, Desideria Award for Photography 2022
The competition is organised by the Munich-based non-profit association Desideria Care, with the aim of fostering new perspectives on life with dementia. As with the first edition of 2022, the images are intended to encourage a different, less one-sided view of this relevant social issue. By raising awareness and changing public perception, Desideria hopes to bring about better integration and an improved quality of life for affected families.
Following the positive response to the first edition in 2022, the Desideria Award for Photography 2024 now goes into its second round – once again sponsored by the Munich-based Josef and Luise Kraft Foundation.
