Protagonists of everyday life

‘Insidious’, an exhibition of works by Michael Wolf being held at the Galerie Particulière in Paris, remains on display until July 28, 2018.
The exhibition Insidious remains on display at the Galerie Particulière in Paris up until July 28, 2018. The presentation brings together photographs by Michael Wolf. As with his earlier works, the Insidious series focusses not only on the city and its anonymity, but also on the protagonists of everyday life. The excerpts he selects draw close to chance incidents, while still remaining true to themselves and completely anonymous.

Born in Munich in 1954, Wolf grew up in California, and studied at Berkeley and at the Folkwang-Hochschule in Essen. In 1994 he went to Hong Kong as a photo reporter for Stern magazine, and ended up living in China for ten years. More recently, Wolf has been living as a free-lance photographer in Paris. His work has received various recognitions, including the World Press Photo Award.
