A distinguished selection of photographs is currently for sale as part of the ‘Prints for India’ fundraising campaign. Up until May 20, the unsigned and unlimited prints can be purchased for £80 (around € 92) each. The catalogue features works by exciting newcomers and renowned photojournalists alike – including images by Martin Parr, Matilde Gattoni, Soham Gupta, Sohrab Hura, Ed Kashi, Sanjit Das, Andrea Bruce, and Laura McPhee. All of the offered images were taken in India.
Proceeds go to the Rahat COVID-19 initiative, an emergency aid programme organised by the Indian charity GOONJ. The programme supports those who are hit hardest by the current lockdown regulations, such as daily wagers and migrant workers.
‘Prints for India’ was created by Guannan Li, Samuel Beech, Sigga Marrow and Verity Fitzgerald, who met in New Delhi in early 2020 while attending a photography workshop held by Martin Parr.
