Precision and Patience

From 27 March to 1 May 2014, works by Josef Hoflehner will be showing at the Parisian gallery acte2galerie. Titled Patience, the exhibition comprises of a selection of colour photographs taken on Hoflehner's extensive travels.

Since 2002, the Austrian-born photographer has been travelling the world, finding his images in Japan, China, Australia, Vietnam, Russia, Peru and Hawaii. Together with his son, he seeks out particular places, often visiting specific locations a number of times until perfect conditions allow him to realise his vision.

The images convey a sense of deceleration – achieved by the photographer's precise attention to detail and, as the title suggests, an enormous amount of patience.
