Applications for the 2024 CatchLight Global Fellowship are accepted until 9 December 2023.
“Visual language has never been more powerful, nor more important to our everyday communication than it is today,” explains Elodie Mailliet Storm, CEO of the non-profit media organisation, CatchLight.

The aim behind the CatchLight Global Fellowship is to harness the power of visual storytelling to change the world. The selected candidates stand to receive financial support in the form of a 30,000 USD grant, along with personal development opportunities and the benefit of an extended creative network.

CatchLight is looking for visionary storytellers whose projects address specific social-impact objectives. The application deadline for the 2024 Global Fellowship is 9 December 2023. The recipients will be announced at the annual Visual Storytelling Summit on 27 April 2024.

In 2022, the CatchLight Global Fellowship awardees were: Adama Delphine Fawundu, whose photographic and multimedia works explore themes of identity, the African diaspora and cultural heritage; Georgian photographer Daro Sulakauri who captures the diverse aspects of life and social issues in her homeland and beyond; and Rafael Vilela, an independent Brazilian photographer reporting on social injustice and the environmental crisis in his country.
