The Galerija Fotografija in Ljubljana is hosting the exhibition On thin Ice by photographer Ciril Jazbec, up until December 30, 2014.
For this series, the Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award-winner travelled to Greenland to document climate change as it affects the region. The destination of Jazbec's reportage journey was Saatut in the north of the country. The population of this little village is made up of 250 people and over 500 dogs.
Moving from commercial photography to photojournalism, the main focus of Jazbec's documentation deals with the effects of climate change and the societal interplay between tradition and modernism.
Part of the series can be found in the first issue of the M Magazine. Further information about the exhibition available at: Galerija Fotografija
