Meitar Award for Excellence in Photography

Organised by PHOTO IS:RAEL and the Zvi and Ofra Meitar Family Fund, the Meitar Award for Excellence in Photography comprises a 14,000 US-Dollar grant for the realisation of a solo exhibition, to be presented at the PHOTO IS:RAEL International Photography Festival in Tel Aviv.
A panel will select 20 finalists, whose entries will be exhibited in a group showcase at this year’s festival edition. The shortlist will then be reviewed by an independent jury to determine the winner – whereby the jury will be looking for a photographer who demonstrates a convincing, unmistakeable personal voice, as well as the potential to create a comprehensive body of work suitable for a solo exhibition.
The winner will be announced during the festival in November 2022 – the solo exhibition will subsequently take place at the 11th PHOTO IS:RAEL in November 2023. Submissions are open until July 18, 2022.
