Image 1: “I took this picture at the Ha Linh lantern manufacturer in Hôi An, Vietnam. This production is one of the city’s oldest and most valuable traditions. I’ve always been fascinated by the way each lantern is created with the highest precision, craftsmanship and dedication.” – Michael Siy
Image 2: “Since 1987 I’ve been documenting life in Varanasi – one of the oldest cities in India and holiest places of the Hindu faith. This image came about shortly after I’d purchased my first digital Leica. I often walk down this alley, because the light illuminates daily miracles every time I do.” – Russell Shakespeare
Image 3: “After several hours at Kaiyuan Temple in Quanzhou, I succeeded in taking pictures of the women in their traditional garb. This motif fascinated me as soon as I shot it. It was only upon further, that I grasped the care with which the wreath had been crafted.” – Peter Christl
