To shoot his urban panoramas, Hans Georg Esch has always favoured the elevated vantage point of hills or tall buildings. Now, he has opened up a whole new range of possibilities with his ‘flying tripod’: a precision drone carrying his Leica S, custom-fitted with a microscope camera within the viewfinder for transmitting images to a monitor on the ground.
