On September 30, 2015, the International Center of Photography is hosting 'The Representation of War – from Capa to Instagram'.
On September 30, 2015, the International Center of Photography is hosting 'The Representation of War – from Capa to Instagram'. One of the themes to be dealt with during the event is the changing journalistic role of war reporting from the 20th century up to the use of social media during the Arab Spring and the emergence of the Islamic State.

The discussion will be led by Fred Ritchin of ICP New York. Participants include Sebastian Meyer and Stefano Carini, respectively co-founder and editor-in-chief of Metrography the first Iraqi photo agency, as well as the photographers Carolyn Cole and Michael Christopher Brown.

The International Center of Photography New York is one of the leading institutions dedicated to the placement, promotion and presentation of photography. In addition to a museum, a library and a school, the ICP also organizes the yearly Infinity Awards ceremony.
