Pascal Dusapin (born 1955 in Nancy, France) is renowned as an award-winning contemporary composer. Several of his musical compositions will be performed at this year’s Salzburg Festival.
The artist is also an accomplished photographer who has built up a remarkable oeuvre of exclusively analogue compositions in black and white. Dusapin’s approach to construction and form is a common thread linking both his musical and visual creations. Long walks in strange cities and familiar places are his primary source of inspiration – with his analogue Leica as his constant companion.
Leica Gallery Salzburg now presents a showcase of prints taken from Dusapin’s exhibition ‘Accords Photographiques’. The second part of the exhibition will be on display at Salzburg’s Haus für Mozart theatre until 2 September.
A portfolio of his work has been published in the current issue of LFI magazine.
