The focus lies on Davidson’s better-known series Brooklyn Gang and East 100th Street, as well as his pictures of the civil rights movement of the sixties. You can see one of the pictures from his Brooklyn Gang series in the Lightbox segment of the M Magazine No. 4.
Davidson has managed to produce some of the great iconic images of the 20th century, which have inspired many later generations of photographers. His signature draws a red line through the exhibition, and the humanistic impulse is always evident in the connectivity of the motifs. Among other prizes, Davidson received a Lucie Award for Special Merit in Documentary Photography in 2004 .
