From June 21 to October 26, 2014, the Sprengel Museum in Hanover is presenting the exhibition "The Little Brown Mushroom Ping-Pong Reading Room" by Alec Soth and friends. Born in America in 1969, Alec Soth is one of the most influential photographers of his generation. His comprehensive pictures series – taken mostly with large-format cameras, but also with a Leica – focussing on the American Midwest, have significantly impacted the self perception of the United States in recent years.
