As part of Erlebniswelt Fotografie Zingst, works by Italian photographer Nicolo Minerbi will be on display at the city's Leica Gallery until 15 May 2015. Under the title The Visual Soundtrack of My American Years, Minerbi has collected visual notes documenting both the characteristic American Way of Life as well as social phenomena on the periphery of mainstream society.
From Camel Races to the American Graffiti Festival
The photographer is particularly drawn to what he calls 'hot' locations: the Camel Race in Virginia City, the Lebowski Festival in Chicago, the American Graffiti Festival or San Francisco's Scooter Community are colourful representatives of American life and culture. The exhibition in Zingst now shows a 'Best Of' selection from various series.
