Thirty award-winning photographers have participated in the ‘Adelante’ reporting initiative, organised by the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) and funded by the Howard G. Buffett Foundation with five million US-dollars.
The resulting exhibition, titled ‘El Otro Lado/The Other Side’, chronicles four years of in-depth migration reporting throughout Colombia, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico.
The showcase, which continues on the PHmuseum website until April 26, 2021, explores the incredible challenges migrants face both at home and on the move – from the complex push and pull factors involved in the decision to leave, to their perilous journeys ‘to the other side’.
