The exhibition brings together images by five seasoned documentary photographers, who spent the summer of 2024 working with iconic camera models made between 1935 and 1964. The featured artists – Mathias Depardon, Ismail Ferdous, Théo Giacometti, Gaia Squarci, and Alessandro Silvestri – are renowned for their nuanced reflections on today’s world. By accepting the challenge of capturing their vacation with these classic vintage tools, they have entered into a compelling dialogue with the analogue history of the medium.
Curated by Jonas Cuénin, director of Blind Magazine, the exhibition highlights the importance of living in the moment and enjoying creative pursuits at your leisure – especially in this fast-paced era of digital mass production.
