Paul Strand, Wall Street, New York, 1915
A comprehensive overview
The exhibition shows the multi-faceted nature of Strand's work, from his early efforts to establish photography as an art form in its own right, to his cinematic interests and the photo books he created in the post-war era.
Based on a recent acquisition of 3,000 prints by the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the exhibition illustrates the development of Strand's work over the course of six decades.
