Photo Lux Festival

The Photo Lux Festival will take place in the Italian city of Lucca, from November 22 to December 14, 2014. Leica Camera AG is the main sponsor and partner of the event.

Giving careful consideration to the selection of pictures, the international photography festival places great importance on quality, countering the inflationary flood of images, which is part of the digital age.

Among other photographers, exhibitions will include work by the winner of the 2014 World Press Photo Award. The honour went to John Stanmeyer with his picture of refugees on the beach of Djibouti trying to pick up a telephone signal from a neighbouring country.

In addition to guided tours, portfolio revues and workshops, the festival programme includes Leica Talks, where there will also be a Meet and Greet and an autograph session. The speakers at the Leica Talks include photographers such as Davide Monteleone, Paolo Marchetti, Alessandro Penso, Marco Casino and Enrico Bossan, and the Head of Marketing at Leica Camera Italy, Andrea Pacella.
