190 exhibitors from 29 countries will be represented at this year’s art fair at the Grand Palais in Paris – open from 9 to 12 November 2017.
This week, the world of photography flocks to the French capital for the renowned Paris Photo fair. Set within the stunning architecture of the city’s Grand Palais, the art fair comprises 190 exhibitors from 29 countries. The premises will be divided into four sections:

In the nave of the Grand Palais, 151 galleries offer an overview of the best photographs from the 19th century to today. The resulting 29 solo and 12 duo exhibitions will also include the works of numerous Leica photographers.

The ‘Prismes’ section, situated at the Salon d’Honneur on the upper floor, is dedicated to a showcase of 14 exceptional projects by artists including Peter Miller, Henry Chalfant, Karlheinz Weinberger, Katsunobu Yaguchi and Klaus Rinke.

In the Books section, 32 publishing houses from 8 countries present their latest publications in the field of photography.

For the first time, Photo Paris also features a Film and Video section. Launched in collaboration with MK2, it aims to introduce new potential applications for the photographic medium.

Leica will also be represented at the prestigious fair. The Leica exhibition stand will not only showcase the winning projects of this year’s Leica Oskar Barnack Award, but also offer portrait sessions with the photographers Frédéric Stucin, Greg Williams, Jan Schlegel, and Eolo Perfido for the duration of the fair. On Friday and Saturday from 16.00 to 17.00, LOBA Newcomer winner Sergey Melnitchenko will hold a book signing for his publication Behind the scenes.

In addition to the events at the Grand Palais, numerous exhibitions, seminars and artist talks are set to take place in other venues throughout Paris over the next few days.
