The Musée de l’Elysée will select eight nominees, each of whom will be given 5,000 Swiss Francs to invest in the presentation of their proposed project in a specially published Nominees’ Book.
The overall winner is awarded 80,000 Swiss Francs for the completion of his or her project and subsequent book publication. All throughout this creative process, the museum will provide the winner with support and advice, as well as actively promote his or her work.
The previous winners of the Prix Elysée are:
2014-2016: Leica photographer Martin Kollar, chosen for his project ‘Provisional Arrangement’;
2016-2018: Matthias Bruggmann, chosen for his project ‘Un acte d’une violence indicible’;
2018-2020: Luis Carlos Tovar, chosen for his project ‘My Father’s Garden’.
