Established in 2022 by collector and photography expert Viviane Esders, the Prix Viviane Esders seeks to highlight the vision and itinerary of a photographic career developed over several decades.
The annual award is aimed at professional European photographers aged sixty years and over, who are still active in their career as independent artists. The winner stands to receive € 50,000, while the two finalist will each be awarded € 5,000.
In June 2024, the jury will convene to select the three nominees, who will be announced in due course. The main winner will be revealed in October – followed by an award ceremony at Paris Photo in November.
