Nathalie Déposé at Emerging Talents 2018

December 11, 2018

The Emerging Talents 2018 exhibition will be showcased at the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris from 14 December 2018 to 3 March 2019.
For the 11th consecutive time, the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris presents the most outstanding works of the Bourse du talent (Emerging Talents) competition for young photographers. Coordinated by Photographie.com and Picto, the show comprises the very best entries of this year’s contest, divided into the categories of Reportage, Landscape, Photography, Portrait and Fashion. Among the selected photographers are Hannah Modigh, Marianne Barthélemy, William Bunel, Delphine Blast, and many more. Also included is French photographer Nathalie Déposé, whose work has been honoured with several previous awards and showcased in international exhibitions. At Emerging Talents 2018, she is represented with her series La Frontiere – a sensitive and deeply personal project in which Déposé retraces her grandfather’s journey from Spain to France at the age of ten. In the context of this series, the photographer explores the boundaries between documentary, storytelling, memory and fiction.
The showcase is complemented by the photo book Deracinés – Enracinés (published by Delpire Éditeur), comprising some 120 works by this year’s emerging talents.
