Photographs can contain much more than what we see at first glance. This group exhibition explores the layers of meaning, processes and contexts that shape an image, beyond its pictorial surface: the preliminary research, the production-related decisions, the underlying narrative. Stories – Behind the Photographic Image examines these different facets of image-making, often through multiple corresponding works.
