A showcase of black-and-white works by Dutch photographer Bastiaan Woudt will be on display at the Bildhalle art gallery in Zurich until January 25, 2020.

Bastiaan Woudt has experienced a meteoric rise to success: within just a few years, he has built up a remarkable black-and-white oeuvre best described as an ode to photography.

The self-taught artist utilises every possibility the medium has to offer, blending classic approaches with contemporary visual styles. His portraits and nudes seamlessly combine references to key works from the history of photography with elements of surrealism, as well as fashion and documentary photography from the 1960s and 1970s.
