Excerpts from this year’s Lumix Festival will be on show at the F³ – Space for Photography in Berlin from August 14 to September 27, 2020.
The Lumix Festival for Young Visual Journalism is one of the most important platforms for young documentary photography in Europe. The F³ – Space for Photography in Berlin currently presents an exclusive selection of this year’s festival edition. The exhibition features works by promising photojournalists of the 21st century who set out to address the political, cultural, ecological and social issues of our time. The projects on display revolve around topics such as the Moira Refugee Camp on Lesbos, Greece, the student protests in Hong Kong, the women’s liberation movement in the Middle East, discrimination against Muslim minorities in China, and the precarious situation of people working in caregiving professions.

In addition to photographic series by Shirin Abedi, Hoi Kin Fung, Ana María Arévalo Gosen, Jan Richard Heinicke, Patricia Kühfuss, Maximilian Mann, Maxime Matthys, Sina Niemeyer, Ashfika Rahman, Luca Rotondo, Jeremy Suyker and Angelos Tzortzinis, the showcase also includes a number of multi-media works.
