The exhibition Lights of Havana by Indonesian photographer Benny Asrul continues at the Leica Store Indonesia until 15 March 2015.
Born in Jakarta, Asrul is a dedicated hobby photographer who has remained faithful to the medium of analogue photography. Travel photography has become his particular passion. Asrul has received multiple awards, including the International Photography Award, the Prix de la Photographie Paris and the Salonfoto Indonesia Award. He works with a number of cameras with different formats.
The photographs displayed at the Leica Store Indonesia were shot with a Leica MP and 35 mm Summicron (IV), using Fuji Velvia 50 film. The Ilfochrome paper prints were created at the Lab Ciba in Burbank, USA.
