Life on the run

July 4, 2015

A photo exhibition from July 7 to 17, 2015, at the Altona Town Hall in Hamburg.
"Leben auf der Flucht" (Life on the run) is a photo exhibition that uses portraits and reportages to introduce people and places affected by migration. The images show people who get involved, officials and militiamen who secure the borders, smugglers who earn money with migration, and people who have set out in search of a better life for themselves.

An international team of photographers are presenting a selection of their work from North Africa, the Levant and Europe, at the Town Hall in Altona. They include photographers who have already worked with LFI: Ayman Oghanna, Antonia Zennaro, Daniel Etter, Jörn Kipping, Marcus Rhinelander, Mirco Keilberth and Thomas Leidig.

The photographs were taken in recent years in Germany, Italy, Iraq, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Syria, Turkey and Tunisia.

A number of events are planned to take place during the presentation (July 7 to 17, 2015)at the Altona Town Hall in Hamburg, as well as tours of the exhibition for students.
