Leica: Statement on the Corona crisis

On Friday, March 19, 2020, Dr. Andreas Kaufmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Leica Camera AG, addressed his employees and customers in a statement.
In view of the Corona crisis, he called on everyone to adhere strictly to the new rules of conduct. At the same time he expressed the hope that the current situation could help the society to develop a new sense of community.
Dr. Kaufmann also spoke of the measures taken at Leica Camera AG to protect both employees and customers. A crisis team reports daily to the Supervisory Board. At the moment production is still running, but bottlenecks in the supply chain and the temporary closure of some shops and galleries are to be expected.
In the end, he calls on all Leica and photography friends to stay safe and keep in touch, preferably through social media.
