Kolga Tbilisi Photo

May 14, 2024

This year’s edition of the international photo festival is set to take place from 14 to 19 May 2024.
Since 2002, photography enthusiasts have been flocking to Georgia’s capital for the annual Kolga Tbilisi Photo Festival. With its rich programme of exhibitions, the prestigious festival explores a broad spectrum of historic and contemporary positions. This year’s edition is no exception, with the featured artists spanning from Paolo Pellegrin and Nikolai Tabukashvili all the way to Anri Tabgua and Allesio Paduano.

Leica photographer and 2017 LOBA finalist Viktoria Sorochinski is represented with her evocative series Poltavaland (2019–2021), tracing the mythology surrounding the Ukrainian city of Poltava. The long-term project was the subject of a comprehensive portfolio in LFI 4/2023.

Visitors can also look forward to numerous workshops, portfolio reviews, lectures and masterclasses. The aim of Kolga Tbilisi Photo is to serve as a connection point between Georgian and international photography, bringing together a multitude of classic and modern visual approaches. The result is a vibrant week of discovery – with outstanding works by acclaimed and emerging artists, both from within Georgia and around the world.
