Monobloc

Jürgen Lindemann’s series dedicated to a popular piece of seating furniture: the stackable plastic chair.
The stackable plastic chair is a most ubiquitous item of furniture, yet despite it being replicated millions of times, we barely notice it. However, once the eye has focussed on it, it is like a virus – suddenly spotted everywhere.

Being a cameraman and a TV producer who often travels the world, Jürgen Lindemann has already spent eight years making a project of photographing monoblocs wherever he happens to find them. This has resulted in 3000 pictures so far, making it a good subject for a long-term project.
