The CWC GALLERY in Berlin presents an exhibition of works by Jimmy Nelson, from September 5 to 15, 2018. On display is his new series, Homage to Humanity. Over past years, Jimmy Nelson has travelled from Asia over Africa and Central America to Australia, to portray members of rare and exotic tribes.
The outcome is both gripping, fascinating and aesthetically revealing. A special highlight will take place of Saturday, September 8, 2018, when Nelson will give an Artist’s Talk. He will report on his travels to Chad, French Polynesia, Sudan and many other countries, talk about his artistic approach, and explain about the importance of the knowledge surrounding the unique cultures of the world. After the Artist’s Talk, Nelson will present his new photo book Homage to Humanity (Rizzoli), including an autograph session with dedications to the guests. The book, which will be available at the CWC GALLERY before the official market launch, includes over 400 portraits, comprehensive texts, exciting interviews with tribe members, and multi-media content.
