The photographer has long been intrigued by this golden age of the automobile – when cars were objects of beauty, and driving was an experience to be celebrated. The cars themselves have disappeared from the roads, but many of the buildings from this era still remain. His images show coffee shops, petrol stations and car washes that have become iconic reminders of bygone days.
The accompanying book of the same title has just been released by Kehrer Publishing. The hard-cover volume (28.8 x 23 cm, 72 pages) comprises 59 colour images, and is prized at € 38.00.
