The exhibition ‘Inventory’ with works by Luca Zanier opens at Zurich’s Photobastei on January 12, 2023.
From January 12th to 29th, 2023, Photobastei Zurich presents the showcase ‘Inventory’ with photographs by Luca Zanier. In addition, the gallery will host an artist talk moderated by Susanne Kunz, which takes place on January 19th from 7 p.m.

Whether he is photographing the UN Security Council in New York, or a fusion reactor in the south of France: with a finely honed sense for unusual angles, Zanier presents the audience with new perspectives of well-known, but usually inaccessible locations. Centres of power, energy facilities and urban landscapes are transformed into precisely composed images with an abstract appeal.

Luca Zanier (b. 1966) was born and raised in Zurich. After training as a photographer, he worked as an assistant both within Switzerland and abroad, before opening his own studio in Zurich. Since 1993, Zanier has been a freelance photographer with a primary focus on architecture and landscapes, as well as reportages and independent fine-art projects. His work has been showcased in more than 100 exhibitions worldwide, and recognised with numerous awards.

With ‘Inventory’, the Photobastei presents visitors with a chance to experience a comprehensive survey of the remarkable photographer’s work.
