Professional photographers are invited to enter their work for the 5th Carmignac Gestion Award – submissions close on 30 September. Established in 2009, the award is given out annually by the Carmignac Gestion Foundation. The winner receives a grant of 50,000 euros.
Theme: Iran
The object of the award is to sponsor an in-depth reportage on a predetermined topic – this year's given theme is "Iran". The jury will be headed by Anahita Ghabaian, co-founder and director of the Silk Road Gallery in Teheran, which specialises in Iranian photography.
Davide Monteleone
The work of last year's winner, Italian photographer Davide Monteleone, will be exhibited at the Chapelle de l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris from 8 November to 4 December.
