Gerald Domenig’s exhibition concept revolves around the topic of house / architecture: “Wall A is a rough collage of architectural photographs; a second, more refined section addresses the folly of a building without windows. GD remedies the issue. Thirdly, there is a wardrobe with doors, in front of which visitors can be photographed. We are also planning a seating area for delving into a so-called artist’s book.”
Andrea Witzmann, meanwhile, presents a dozen large-format colour photographs that serve as a radical expression of a state of mind in a world that seems out of joint. Created in the past two years, the images seamlessly integrate into Witzmann’s artistic tradition. “I see, I photograph, I look and construct, I see and I photograph. Which image constitutes a space? Which space emanates freedom? The ramifications of the present only come into effect a few years from now, so let’s live in the moment! Everything that is not forbidden can be embraced with impunity, against our better judgement!"
