52 WEEKS, 52 CITIES

April 4, 2015

The German Architecture Museum in Frankfurt on the Main currently presents the work of Dutch photographer Iwan Baan. The exhibition continues until 14 June 2015.
One of the most well-known architectural photographers of our time, Iwan Baan (*1975) has captured the creations of every architect of acclaim – from Rem Koolhaas, Herzog de Meuron and SANAA to Steven Holl Toyo Ito and Zaha Hadid.

What sets Baan's approach apart is that he photographs architectural structures within a sociological context, illustrating the way people relate to, make use of and take ownership of a building – thereby transforming it. "52 Weeks, 52 Cities" can be seen as a visual travel journal, filled with the cosmopolitan photographer's views of globalised architecture.
