Das Bild zeigt afrikanische Flüchtlinge am Strand von Djibouti, als sie versuchen ein Signal aus dem günstigen Netz aus dem benachbarten Somalia zu empfangen, um eine Nachricht an ihre Verwandten zu senden. Djibouti ist eine bekannte Zwischenstation für Flüchtlinge aus Somalia, Äthiopien oder Eritrea, die auf der Suche nach einem besseren Leben in Europa oder im Mittleren Osten sind.
Das Bild gewann ebenfalls den 1. Preis in der Kategorie Contemporary Issues. Es wurde im Auftrag von National Geographic geschossen.
