The year 2014 sees the centenary of the beginning of the First World War. Remembering this event, the Parisienne de Photographie gallery in Paris is presenting an exceptional exhibition with around 120 large-format photographs.
Most of these pieces, which were newly rediscovered during digitalisation, have not been seen again since they were published in the French daily newspaper Excelsior.
In addition to the pictures, 15 large-format facsimiles of front pages of the newspaper will be on display, creating a historic time-line of the major events taking place during the war.
