Salzburg in Focus

January 5, 2014

A three-fold selection of photographs will be showing at Leica Gallery Salzburg from 24 January to 25 February – featuring the works of Lisa Alessandra Kutzelnig, Richard Schabetsberger and Michael Sobotka
For the first time, three Salzburg-based photographers will be presented at the city's Leica Gallery in one joint exhibition: open from 24 January to 25 February, Salzburg in Focus features photographs by Lisa Alessandra Kutzelnig, Richard Schabetsberger and Michael Sobotka – showing the famous city from the artists' personal, and often unexpected points of view.

Lisa Alessandra Kutzelnig's presentation includes selected works from her project "aufwachsen-kindsein" (Growing Up - Being a Child) – a portrait of Salzburg's socially diverse Lehen district, where constructions are currently underway to create a new city complex with flats, shops and leisure activities.

Richard Schabetsberger also shows the Mozart City in a new light with his series "Fotografie findet Stadt" (Photography takes Place). Michael Sobotka's series "Regenkirtag" (Rainy Fète), created in 2012, captures the city's popular Annual Fair on a grey and rainy day.

All works shown at the exhibition have been created with the Leica M8, M9 and the new M.
