From 20 June to 21 July 2019, the Kaunas Photography Gallery in Lithuania presents the showcase ‘Urgent Arts of Living’; the group exhibition forms part of ‘Parallel’ – a photography platform established in 2016 in order to enable young photographers and curators to display their work at participating venues across Europe.
‘Urgent Arts of Living’ was curated by Cale Garrido, and comprises photographs by Fábio Cunha, Marie Lukasiewicz and Ana Zibelnik. The exhibition aims to inspire a critical dialogue between artists and viewers about the world’s current ecological and social crises, and the urgent need for profound change.
