Nanna Heitmann/ „Der Neue BFF-Förderpreis“, 2018
An exhibition featuring the three winners and seven finalists of the New BFF Sponsorship Award opens at the Horizonte Zingst photo festival this evening.
The New BFF Sponsorship Award was established by the German Association of Freelance Photographers and Filmmakers (BFF) with the aim of supporting emerging young photographers.
The first edition of the contest took place in 2017. Now the winning and shortlisted works are presented in a touring exhibition, with stations in Zingst (continuing until 3 June 2018), followed by the Triennial of Photography in Hamburg and the Photokina in Cologne.
The showcase offers insights into the multi-faceted views of young photographers, whose exploration of current social phenomena might inspire thoughts about how to shape the future.
