Within the framework of the 5th PhotOn Festival in Valencia, the Libreria Railowsky is presenting Passport to Life, an exhibition showing the photography and commitment of Leica photographer Jürgen Schadeberg.
Born in Berlin in 1931, Schadeberg studied at the Berlin School for Optics and Photo Technology before making his home in South Africa where he worked as a photographer and film maker. In addition to his photographic reportages about life in the townships around Johannesburg, he received world recognition thanks to his portraits of Nelson Mandela and many other South Africa celebrities.
