From September 1 to October 28, 2023, the Leica Professional Store Tokyo hosts the showcase 世界をまとう (Wearing the World), featuring works by the Full-Course collective. The group is comprised of four cosplay photographers – Uhimaru, Komtan, hamashun, and ryoakita – all of whom are active members of the LFI.Gallery whose images have been selected for the platform’s curated categories (such as the Leica Master Shot) on multiple occasions.

The genre of cosplay photography draws inspiration from gaming and anime culture, and has become an established part of Japanese pop culture. The exhibition ‘Wearing the World’ takes viewers into fantastical realms in which photographer and protagonist are inspired by each other’s interpretations: the models fully embrace their roles, while the photographers use their skills to orchestrate entirely surreal worlds.
