Peter Turnley: Visual Diary

December 2, 2020

In his new book, the renowned documentary photographer shares his perspective on the global pandemic. A special pre-sale price applies until December 4, 2020.
Peter Turnley (b. 1955) dedicates much of his photojournalistic work to geopolitical and historically significant events around the world. Forty-three of his documentary images and portraits of influential personalities have been published on Newsweek’s title page to date.

Since March 20, 2020, Turnley has dedicated himself to documenting the Covid-19 pandemic in his two home cities, Paris and New York. The resulting photo book – titled ‘A New York-Paris Visual Diary – The Human Face of Covid-19’ – is intended to serve as “a visual tribute to the humanity of all of the heroes and victims.” In his preface, Turnley also describes the volume as a homage “to the people of two of the most vibrant and unique cities in the world – and a testament to the strength of our human family worldwide.”

The self-published book is currently available at a special pre-sale price of USD 60 (offer ends on December 4, 2020). Orders can be placed on the photographer’s website. Every copy of the book is signed. The book can also be ordered together with a limited-edition print, for a total of USD 495.
